BMC Areas – Facebook

All BMC Areas now have their own Facebook page. If you search for ‘BMC’ and the name of your area you will be able to like the page to receive updates of activities in your chosen area(s)

BMC Club Member Workshops

There are some new courses in the 2014 Club Workshop Programme. All the courses are heavily subsidised and aimed at members of BMC clubs – from £75 for a weekend including all instruction and accommodation. Check out the full list at:

BMC ‘Training Novice Club Member’ weekend

This popular weekend training is back for 2014. Running from Friday 16th – Sunday 18th May at Plas y Brenin in Snowdonia the course is aimed at affiliated clubs which accept novices and wish to support these members whilst they gain experience, develop skills, and become competent climbers, walkers and mountaineers in their own right. Costing only £50 for the weekend to cover all accommodation, full board and instruction it’s a weekend not to miss! For more details go to:

Art Exhibition in Stoke on Trent

Phil Gibson has an art exhibition running until 22nd March at The New Vic Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent. Titled ‘Wild Places’ it is a collection of paintings and drawings of wildlife and rugged landscapes and is well worth a visit.

People who love the spectacular Stanage and North Lees landscape near Hathersage are invited to help refresh the vision for the estate. The Peak District National Park Authority is issuing an open invitation to share ideas at a meeting on Saturday March 29, 2pm-5pm in Hathersage Memorial Hall.
